The Slam Dunk Awards conducted an internet survey on our official website slamdunkawards.com to select the recipients. The National Dunking Association of America conducted an internet survey on our official website www.SlamDunkAwrds.com, to select the recipients. We believe these awards will not only bring more attention to the art of dunk, but also allow the recipients to donate a portion of the award money to the Who got the Dunks Scholarship Fund. The Annual Slam Dunk Awards™ will also recognize the top dunkers of all time. It is our hope that the awards program will provide an avenue for other dunk enthusiasts to support our efforts to enrich the lives of those from underprivileged communities through programs like Dunking in the Hood™ and Dunking for the Cure (of AIDS). Other activities that the NDAA is involved with include promoting the dunk statistic recording as a part of regular statistical reporting, as well as lobbying for dunking to become an official sport in the Olympics. We are proud to have the opportunity to highlight your achievements and contributions to the sport of basketball, especially the introduction of the slam dunk which has now become an integral part of the game.
