Demetrius "Hook" Mitchell has been called one of the best basketball players never to make it to the NBA, and can name superstar NBA players (and fellow Oaklanders) Jason Kidd, Gary Patyon, Brian Shaw among his closest friends. But while these b-ball legends say that he was better than all of them, Hook wound up incarcerated for five years, lelft to watch his childhood friends skyrocket to stardom with multi-million dollar salaries.
